Listing Description

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures to identify and evaluate a wide range of medical conditions

Uses techniques such as general radiography, angiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and bone densitometry

Assesses and interprets images to provide accurate diagnoses and support clinical decision-making

Monitors patients during imaging procedures to ensure safety and quality of results

Collaborates with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan further treatment or diagnostic steps

Maintains and calibrates imaging equipment and ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards

Provides patient guidance and education regarding imaging procedures, preparation, and follow-up care

Experience and qualifications required

-A bachelor degree or higher qualification, two years hospital-based training, and at least five years specialist study and training

-Registration with New Zealand Medical Council required
