Listing Description
A well-established company is urgently looking for a security/fire system technician to service the Hawke’s Bay area.
Key Tasks
- Receive and record details of installation or service required from Office.
- Undertake all aspects of installation and service including, product recording from a) stock room b) preferred suppliers via purchase order obtained from service co-ordinator.
- Arrange for all required support services to attend clients home to complete installation and service.
- Arrange and complete all tasks to ensure monitoring connection is valid and reporting to monitoring service.
- Carry out the necessary checks to ensure installation / service has been completed to a high standard and that the equipment is working effectively.
- Demonstrate procedure of use to the clients, that they may use the system effectively and confidently. Be prepared to confirm ser system information with the client from the alarm book.
- Leave all client work areas in a tidy condition.
- Complete installation confirmation form and obtain customers signature / comments on the form.
- Obtain customers payment if applicable. Notate the job card for the receipt and deliver to Accountant.
- Deliver installation confirmation form and payment to the service co-ordinator.
- To fully complete the service call sheets with all the required detail and return to the service co-ordinator.
- Accurately record and deliver all relevant time sheets to the service co-ordinator on a daily basis.
- Attend weekly meeting with company directors and other meetings as and when required by the directors.
- Ongoing technical training and knowledge building.
- Assistance to the Service Manager and team members as required.
- Client communications to be fostered in a positive manner, enhancing the reputation of the technician and company.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the company from time to time.
- When necessary the technician may be required to reprogram the clients’ telephone system and/ or internet connection. This may involve adding wiring, jack points and filters.
