Listing Description

Planning and conducting surveys to determine exact positions, boundaries, elevations and alignments. Gathering, analyzing and interpreting spatial data from field measurements, maps, satellite imagery and aerial photographs.

Preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, charts and reports of survey results.Verifying the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted on-site.

Providing advice and information on land and property boundaries, construction projects, resource management and land development. Applying knowledge of survey law, regulations, and land registration practices. Using specialized equipment and technology such as GPS, GIS, electronic distance-measuring devices, and drones.

Coordinating survey teams, managing field operations, and ensuring safety and accuracy in data collection.

Experience and qualifications required

A bachelor degree or higher qualification. Registration with Survey and Spatial New Zealand may be required.
